Come join the Nehrig Family on a Surf and Serve geared for all ages.
We will be serving in the small town of the world famous wave Santa Catalina.
We will be connecting with the locals and running a vacation bible school.
We will also have plenty of opportunities to surf the beautiful warm water waves in Santa Catalina. This area has a fun beach break and a world class right point break. We will all meet in Panama City and then drive out to Santa Catalina together.
During the week we will grow closer to each other, study God’s word, and build meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime.

What will the typical day on this trip look like?
We will have the opportunity to surf depending on the tide. It is a mid to high tide spot so we will surf during that time. We will also be running a vacation Bible school for the locals, we will be sharing 3 meals a day together.
What are the waves like and what skill level should I be?
Beach break/point break/, beginner-advanced. Santa Catalina is a south swell spot and picks up lots of swell in the months of June and July.
What if I can’t surf or the waves are flat, is there something else I can participate in?
The beach break will have a few small waves if the point is not breaking. If you don’t surf you can help out prepping the vacation bible school time, have extended solo times, or build relationships with some of the locals.
What are the sleeping accommodations like?
We will be staying in small home style rooms. Each room has several beds, a small kitchen, bathroom and showers in each room. All rooms have AC and fans.

What does the registration fee include and not include?
Place to stay, 3 meals a day, travel to and from airport in Panama/surfing/ministry outreach. Does NOT include airfare, board/gear rentals, souvenirs or any extra snacks or food that you want.
What if I can’t make it last minute, do I get a refund?
There will be a deposit of $200 that is non-refundable unless your spot is taken from another person. Due to the efforts of planning on our team and the accommodations that will be booked ahead of time, a full refund is not available within a month of the trip.
Any other specifics about this trip that I should know?
Must arrive at Panama City airport by June 18th as we will leave from Panama City early in the morning on June 19th.
What will the Wi-Fi or cell service be like? Decent, however during team time and ministry time we ask that all phones are turned off and put away.
Do I need to fill out an application? No just sign up and pay your deposit.
Do you have a sample letter I can use for fundraising? Yes please email if you would like a sample letter.
How much does it cost to fly my boards? It will depend on the airline you are flying on. It can cost between $50-$200.
What about food?
We will be cooking meals as a team, and eating local foods.
What about amenities?
wifi, flushing toilets, showers, fresh drinking water, AC
Will we meet prior to the trip over zoom?
We will have a pre-trip zoom call to meet everyone and go over trip specifics.
