Chile: Surf & Serve 2023

Chile was an amazing time this year. There were eight people who went down this past March. Four guys and four gals. The schedule was to surf at first light then back for breakfast then off to work. The crew was in charge of working on a set of bathrooms and showers in a giant multipurpose room on the YWAM base. The laid tile, grouting, painting, plumbing, concrete work and just about everything in between. The crew worked around 7-9 hours a day doing construction and then they would walk around the corner for to their lodgings and baked some empanadas for their house for dinner. On the crews walks, back to the house, they would pair up and answer some devotional questions together.

A highlight on their trip, was meeting Mitch Anderson, who runs the YWAM base, there in Chile. He showed the crew around to all of the building on the YWAM base and explained everything that goes on in all of the different schools. It was amazing that this group, from Christian Surfers, got to be apart of God’s work there at the YWAM Pichilemu.
