The Americas Conference: El Salvador

This past May, Christian Surfers El Salvador hosted the America’s conference in Surf City, El Tunco. Christian Surfers from all of the Americas countries came together for an amazing week filled with fellowship, learning, connecting and surfing.

Christian Surfers is divided up into 3 groups: The Americas, Europe/ Middle East/Africa and Asia/South Pacific. Every 2-3 years, each region has its own conference. It was such a blessing to see so many surfers, from the Americas who love Jesus and love people, coming together in praise. This year there were 15 countries represented at the conference. God is really moving and doing amazing things in surf communities throughout Latin America in general.

Surfers are such a fun-loving, adventurous peoples. Surfers love to travel, eat and surf. But the best thing about this group of surfers, was their love for the Lord. At this conference, the love of Jesus outshone their love for surfing. Everyday, people faithfully got out of the water to meet at the church, Lã Red, for the service, worship and breakout sessions. Even with world class right hand point breaks just down the street. The love of Jesus could be felt in the room, with these surfers.

Everyone left the conference feeling encouraged and filled with God’s goodness and hope for the future of Christian Surfers in the Americas.
