Sending It! Surfers Bibles

This summer, we are quite literally “sending it” as we distribute 11,000 brand new Surfer’s Bibles out to beach communities in the US. These are powerful weapons for God’s kingdom and our society needs God’s word more than ever! I am reminded of a verse in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 that says:

“3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.” (NLT)

These Surfer’s Bibles are one powerful way that we can send out God’s truth to surfers and beach communities. Many surfers are lost and listening to all kinds of doctrine, but unless they read the Bible and hear God’s word, how will they know the truth? I want to encourage you to start praying over these new Surfer’s Bibles. They are currently being distributed to CSUS chapters and developing regions in preparation for the launch of the Bibles and website this July. Pray over the Good News that will be shared on the beaches around the country and that whoever gets a Surfer’s Bible will be completely impacted by the words of our Lord and their lives will be changed. Pray over yourselves that you will have the strength to be bold and share the Gospel as you hand out these Bible’s to individuals on the beaches. It also says in 2 Timothy 4: 

“2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.”

“5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”

Pray that these Bibles are delivered successfully around the world, pray for the individuals and families that may encounter spiritual attacks while distributing them, pray for the CS International team as they finish up filming powerful testimonies and organize the website, and most of all, pray over the lives that will be changed as they read God’s word and let it infiltrate their hearts. This could be the beginning of a revival in the surf communities globally, and I cannot wait to see what God is capable of doing! Keep praying!
