The CS El Salvador team has returned from a great trip! Partnering with local church and non-profit La Red, the team worked in the community of El Tunco.  Christian Surfers has deep roots here, as the Castellanos family, who planted La Red, was part of the origin of CS in El Salvador. CS has now grown to multiple chapters with a National Director and many great volunteers.

The trip started out with an opportunity to pack bags of groceries and deliver them to families in need.  The team walked door to door in the beach community of Majahual, taking time to talk and pray with each family. Every morning started with an early dawn patrol, scoring clean chest to head waves, and got to share a few sessions with the local CS crew. The team visited Remar orphanage, and was able to help them with some labor as well as spending time playing soccer and games with the kids.

The trip ended with the final two days spent volunteering at the NSF surf contest, giving away water, bananas, and much needed wax to competitors.  The NSF was so pleased to have us, and has invited the local CS to be a part of all ongoing surf contests!
