Point Breaks

Our lives in Christ are like a long wave at a point break. We can try to force a board to do what we want it to, but the best waves are the ones we let the board do the surfing for us. Allowing the board to flow with the wave and being right on time makes the experience more enjoyable and way better. Jesus is the surfboard. We are the surfer. When we allow Jesus to take control of our lives and we follow in His timing, we get to see all the beauty. He lets us experience everything He has to offer.

Psalm 37:3-7
“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!”

John 14:6
“Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.’”

We must TRUST Jesus to guide us; His plans for us are good. The harder we try to do it our way, the more of the wave we miss.

Jeremiah 29:11
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
