This trip will take place in late March. David and Amy Nehrig will be leading a bunch of groms, 13- 17-year-old young men and women, on a surf and serve. We will get to partner with The Way Church in Popoyo. We will all grow closer to God as we study His word. While there, we will share our testimonies. We will be working and surfing around six different spots. We will visit a skate park and host an outreach bonfire on the beach where we get to pray and share God’s love with the people on the beach. We will attend local church services and join in worship with the two different locations we visit. We will eat great food, enjoy great fellowship with each other, and grow closer to the Lord over this week.

    • what's the week look like?

    In a typical day, we will surf in the morning before breakfast, have breakfast time together and a devotional time, partner with the local ministry and serve where they are serving. Possible afternoon surf together. Sharing dinner together and having a time of testimonies and Bible study.

    Before you go

    Make sure that your passport will be valid for at least six months beyond the intended departure date. Have at least two to four blank pages in your passport for visas or entry stamps.
    What will the accommodations look like?

    We will be staying in bunk rooms at the Way Church in Popoyo with AC and warm showers.


    What will the food be like? What if I have an allergy?
    Food will be made by The Way Staff for most breakfast, lunches, and dinners. You can plan on eating well as the food served is amazing and fresh. Allergies can be accommodated.


    Can I get a refund?
    Yes, but only if we can fill your spot with another person.


    How much does it cost to fly a board?
    Depends on which airlines we are on to Nicaragua. It can range from 30-150 dollars per board bag.
