Be rooted in your beliefs. Develop a personal and resilient faith. Rediscover the value of the local church and community.
Your faith transformation starts now. Through a five-month, live-in discipleship program, surround yourself with a community who will challenge you, encourage you and spur you toward a deeper relationship with Christ. Learn to engage culture, build authentic community and share the hope of the gospel through a blend of classroom learning and hands-on learning.
The mission of CSALT is to journey with young surfers in a rich blend of adventure, community, and teaching. The academy will help young adults deepen their relationship with Jesus, grow as leaders and impact surf communities.
CSALT MISSION
Program Structure
The CSALT program is built around a balanced rhythm of classroom learning, spiritual formation, community life, and practical ministry engagement. It is designed for 18 to 24 year olds. The program is hosted in San Diego County, California and will operate across two intakes:
- Intake 1: February to June
- Intake 2: July to December
Curriculum Focus
All courses are built around three learning blocks: Upward, Inward, and Outward
- Upward: Basic Bible Doctrine (Revelation, God, Man/Sin, Christology, Holy Spirit/Salvation, The Church), Old Testament/New Testament
- Inward: What’s your calling? What are your strengths? What’s your testimony? What’s my role in the Church and ministry?
- Outward: Learn to work in a team, Leadership 101, and serving in ministries and local churches
Students will gain hands-on experience by serving local churches and within CS chapters.
Missions Exposure
As a part of the discipleship program, students have the opportunity to serve locally and globally. Students gain hands-on experience by serving local churches within CS chapters. To expose students to cross-cultural missions, there are practical, hands-on service experiences beyond their local context that students participate in.
