DANA POINT
Written by: Aidyn Fischli
A new Christian Surfers chapter launched in Dana Point in February. One of the chapter’s leaders, Jackson Schenkenberger, shares that they’ve already seen so much growth in the last two months.
“There are people trying to create a space where you can have fun, hang out and find friends. It also creates a time where you can be vulnerable, open up and get support, advice and prayer,” says Jackson.
The chapter meets at Doheny State Beach on Thursday nights. Members usually paddle out around 5 before grouping under the tent for pizza and a message at sunset. They had 15 people join their first meeting on February 5th, and now they see a consistent 25-30 people every Thursday.
“It’s been great building a cool little community,” says Jackson.
By setting up their tent at Doheny, they’ve created the opportunity to talk with people who are curious to hear about the Gospel or Christian Surfers. We look forward to seeing the Dana Point chapter continue to grow and prosper! If you live in the area, stop in for pizza, waves and fellowship!

FOR THE GIRLS SURF CLASSIC

The 2nd Annual For The Girls Surf Classic, put on by Ride Nature, Christian Surfers, and FCA Surf, brought together more than 80 female surfers for a day full of waves, encouragement, and community. From the youngest groms to experienced competitors, the beach was packed with excitement! The surfing was incredible, but what stood out most was the atmosphere—one where every girl felt welcomed, supported, and part of something bigger.
At Christian Surfers, we believe surfing is one of the best ways to build relationships and create opportunities to share the love of Jesus, and *For The Girls* was a beautiful example of that. Throughout the day, girls connected with one another, families gathered on the shoreline, and friendships were formed both in and out of the water. There was plenty of competition, but even more cheering, laughter, and encouragement. We’re so grateful for everyone who helped make this event possible and for each girl who showed up!
