Have you ever found yourself in a situation with no plan or expectation, but you have the best time? That’s what the Warm Water Campout was for me. Located on the world-renowned North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii. Known as the 7-mile miracle, this is a dream destination for many ocean-loving people, including myself. Overall, it was an amazing trip. The swell was pumping and super fun the entire time, and I got to spend time with dear friends and make new ones. The funny thing is that a week before the trip, I had no expectation or plan to be there. The amazing thing is that we serve a God who is kind and genuinely cares for us. Being the good Father He is, God wants to bless us. More often than not, though, I find myself in a constant struggle to keep up with my life and my shortcomings. However, I know I still serve a God who loves me and is willing to provide amidst my faults because that is who He is. Despite all my doubts He provided everything I needed to go on this trip, all I had to do was say yes and move forward when necessary. Even when our plans change or what God has for us seems too uncertain, it is always worth putting faith in God. Reflecting on the entire experience, the reality of God’s goodness became even more vivid to me. Our heavenly Father has the desire and power to provide for us even when we don’t expect Him to. I wasn’t entitled or deserving to attend this trip, but out of His love and kindness to me, He provided a way. All because I said yes and stepped into His provisions.
Matthew 7:11: “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”
Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
