Northern California

This will be a hardcore exploration backpacking trip in Northern California on the final stretch of undeveloped coastline in California. It will be extremely physically demanding and we will be exposed to the raw elements of nature for one week. There will be a training regimen given to each person coming to prepare for the trip at least six months out to ensure the person signed up can make it there and back.

What you cover

  • Flights to San Diego or San Francisco depending on when you are flying in.
  • Your own boots, backpack, surfboard, wetsuit, tent, clothes, toilet paper and toiletries.
  • what's the week look like?

We will be surfing as much as the weather allows, fishing, exploring, and diving into deep talks and Bible study about the heart of God the Father each night.

    Before you go

What will the accommodations look like?

Tent camping, no amenities whatsoever. Complete raw camping only. What you bring is what you have.

What will the food be like? What if I have an allergy?
We will have to distribute dry foods throughout people’s packs. We will most likely be fairly hungry throughout the trip. Please list food allergies, especially let us know about peanuts because peanut butter is a staple for backpacking. If you are allergic to fish, consider a different trip.

    Can I get a refund?
No refunds due to change of mind. We have to purchase permits very far out, so please commit or do not. Exceptions may be made due to physical injury.

How much does it cost to fly a board?
Anyone not from California will be responsible for their own flight and board cost.

Can I fundraise for this trip?
This is an adventure trip, not a mission trip. Fundraising is not recommended, although we will be learning deep things about the Lord and growing in our faith.
